You can build a happier and more connected life. Why do it alone?

Hi, I’m Dr. Holly.

Thank you so much for stopping by.

If you wish for more connected and loving relationships (including the relationship you have with yourself), a healthier and more fulfilling life, a fresh perspective, or healing from the past, it means you’re paying attention. There’s always room to build, grow, and evolve.

Perhaps you aspire to cultivate one domain of your life or several areas. Maybe you feel lost because you’ve worked hard to make things better and haven’t seen a difference, or you’re newly aware of the need for a shift in life and this is your first try. Either is okay.

Successful change doesn’t have to start with self-confidence or a strategy. It can take off with a choice to reach out rather than make the journey alone. The decision to take part in therapy and allow someone else into your world is, in my humble view, one of the healthiest choices someone can make. Regardless of whether you’ve tried therapy before, your step is a brave and beautiful one.

Everyone’s circumstances, experiences, relationships, and dreams are uniquely their own. Therefore, I believe in understanding people in the holistic context of their life, and flexibly integrate therapy approaches based on each person and their goals. My style is authentic, friendly, compassionate, accepting, and collaborative. I love working with couples and individuals who wish to create meaningful change for their present and future.

Research reveals that one of the most important factors in therapy is the quality of the relationship you have with your therapist. You deserve to work with someone who feels like a good match, someone you can be real with and who has a style that resonates with you. If you’re thinking about working together, please feel free to give me a call or send me an email. I deeply value working with individuals and couples of diverse races, ethnicities, sexual orientations, gender identities, ages, and socioeconomic backgrounds.

Regardless of whether you ultimately decide to work with me, I’m so grateful to you for taking time out of your life to visit this site, and I wish you every success in your journey forward.

The Danger of Self-Protection in Relationships

The defenses we use in love can also work against us.

If you’ve ever fallen for someone, I’m guessing you’ve probably confronted a basic, human dilemma in emotional intimacy — self-exposure versus self-protection.

Successful change doesn’t have to start with self-confidence or a strategy. It can take off with a choice to reach out rather than make the journey alone. Either is okay.
